Beta Gabriel-Rafa’el, the interior of Beta Gabriel, from the southwest, 2006. Note the massive square pillar with angular brackets. The sanctuary is behind the curtains; the configuration of the entrance suggests that it was created at the same time as the ceiling was recut to form the brackets and architraves.David W.
