Photo 15.4 Abune Aregawi Minta church forest. African wild olive (Olea europaea ssp. cuspidata) is the keystone tree species of the church forests in and around Dogu’a Tembien. The tree in the foreground and the trees with round, grey-green crowns in the forest are olive trees. The trees with flat-topped crowns are Acacia species.
