What the record shows
I love this vignette so much that I uploaded it in spite of having processed it so heavily. I took the photo in very low ambient light at a high ISO value, which meant the image contained a lot of noise. To counter that, I processed it with my noise-reduction software. The tradeoff is that with reduced noise comes reduced resolution. So this photo looks more like an impressionistic painting of a painting than a photograph. This is one you probably don't want to look at in the large or original sizes. It was either that, or deprive myself and other flickerites of this delightfully enigmatic painting featuring six large felines (lions on the left and leopards on the right?), a saint who looks like he's entrusting his fate to god, and a cute little penguin-like bird looking for all the world like a hand puppet, whispering something into the saint's ear.
