Gold coin; pierced in two places.Obverse : Half-length bust of Ezanas right, crowned, holding spear, between two wheat-stalks. Disc and crescent at top ; reverse : Half-length bust of Ezanas right, wearing headcloth and holding branch or fly-whisk (?), between two wheat-stalks. Disc and crescent at top. Greek Inscription, obverse : "King Ezanas" : reverse : "Of the Aksumites man of Alene".
