What the catalogue identifies
An Ethiopian manuscript containing:ff. 4r-200r. The first part of the Synaxarium, monthly reading for:Maskarram, f. 4r; Tekemt, f. 39v ; Hedar, f. 72 r; Tahsas, f. 110r; Ter, f. 154r; Yakatlt, f. 200r. ff. 72r-200r. Partially erased name, perhaps that of the scribe or owner, ጊዮርጊስ, Giyorgis.The names of king John (I., A.D. 1667 -82), his mother እኅተ፡ ክርስቶስ ‘Eḫǝta Krǝsto and and his queen ስበለ ፡ ወንጌል, Sabla Wangel have been substituted, everywhere for those which were originally written. f. 3v. Deed of king John, A'laf Sagad, and queen Sabla Wangel, presenting this Synaxarium ለታቦተ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ አብ፡ ዘጸደ። In it are named their mother እኅተ፡ ክርስቶስ ‘Eḫǝta their brother ስሞዖን Semo’an and their son ዮስጦስ Yosṭos.f.3v. Sinodā was 'abuna. It is dated A.M. 7174 (A.D. 1681),በ፸፡ ፪፡ ወ፩፡ ፻፡ ፸፡ ወ፱፡ ዓመተ፡ ዓለም። በ፸፡ ፻፡ ፶ወ፰፡ ዓመተ፡ ምሕረት፡ እንዝ፡ ወንጌላዊ፡ማርቆስ፡ ወ ፳፡ አበቅቴ፡ አመ፡ ፭፡ ለወርኃ፡ ታኅሣሥ። ወበ፲ወ፭፡ ዓመት፡ እምዘ፡ እንበረ፡ ኪያነ፡ በመንበረ፡ ዳዊት፡ ወሰሎሞን፡ አበዊነ፡ ንጉሠ፡ ነገሥታት፡ እግዚአብሔር።f. 1r.
